Fetal Heart Working Group
Advance the field of fetal cardiovascular care & science through collaborative research and education
Fetal Cardiology is the frontier of paediatric cardiovascular medicine. Fetal Gulf Heart group (FGHA) is a working group under the Gulf Heart Association represented by an exclusive group of healthcare professionals working in the field Fetal Cardiology across the Gulf Countries.
Objectives
With the objective of promoting fetal maternal wellbeing and to improve women’s health before, during, and after pregnancy, we aim to foster excellence in the diagnosis, management, and counselling approach to advance the highest quality of fetal cardiovascular care.
The working group aims to develop collaborative studies, guidelines and information that foster and facilitate multidisciplinary research and excellence in education. Our educational offerings will present programs in fetal echo workshops theoretical and practical hands-on tailored to multispecialty healthcare professionals such as obstetricians, gynaecologists, sonographers and radiologists.
Vision
- Facilitate workshops as part of parallel annual GHA meetings
- Gain recognition internationally as part of other existing fetal groups either regionally with MFM/OB-GYN group or internationally e.g. ISOUG
- Expand the group and spread to involve more members from GCC
- Collaborate to conduct and share fetal cardiovascular research projects
